Park Place, Mayfair

Anna was Project Architect post-planning for the design development of a new, single family residence in a prime Mayfair location, involving the demolition of a 1960s, 6-storey terrace, which had latterly been converted into offices.

The new scheme, with a dark brick façade, was inspired by the dark terraced frontage of number 10 Downing Street, one of London’s most famous addresses.

The luxurious new home included a double-storey basement, housing a pool, gym, cinema room and staff accommodation.
The complex project included lengthy consultation with London Underground ltd, with a tube tunnel running directly beneath the site.

Size: 7,890 sq ft/733 sq m
Completion: 2017
Contract value: £5m
Notes: Change of use/Conservation area

The spectacular seven-storey property is a 21st century interpretation of a traditional Mayfair home…
It looks more like something out of Gotham City than Mayfair and St James, but this striking new townhouse is set to be built on Park Place after Westminster council gave plans the green light.
